Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary

Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary aka EARS was organized in January of 2010 by passionate volunteers who believed that the number of animals euthanized in our community could be reduced through education and promotion of responsible pet ownership. To that end, EARS offers many programs including, low-cost spay/neuter, feral cat Trap Neuter & Release or (TNR), Critical Animal Care, and educational programs, and the rehoming and quality adoption of pets. Now more than a decade later, through a huge community effort and the hard work of many passionate people and organizations throughout the area, Effingham County is no-kill.

We are a foster-based animal sanctuary completely run by volunteers. All of our animals are in foster homes until they are adopted.
