ECGHS is a group of family history researchers interested in preserving our own, and others family history, as well as the history of Effingham County, IL.
Anyone with an interest in genealogy / family history, and Effingham County history would be a welcome volunteer and addition to our organization.
What We Do
The Effingham County Genealogical and Historical Society (ECGHS) was established to bring together people interested in Genealogy - or - Family History research, and to discover, collect and preserve the history of Effingham County, Illinois, and those persons who contributed to establishing the county.
