Who We Are
Our Vision: A world where every individual finds connection through service and communities have thriving local participation. Community Compass is Inspiring Service’s community-powered platform designed to help people find meaningful ways to get involved in their local communities. We’re a nationwide crowdsourced directory that includes mutual aid and grassroots groups, nonprofit organizations, service clubs, and online volunteer opportunity websites so everyone can find a way to make a local impact.
What We Do
We’re all helpers. But, it isn’t easy to find local local nonprofits or grassroots organizations – especially smaller or less formal organizations that often need volunteers the most. Across the country, there are groups, clubs, and organizations of all shapes and sizes looking for people who are ready to lend a hand. Community Compass is bridging the gap between volunteers and the people who are already active in their communities. Because helping can take many forms, we’re not just a directory of nonprofits. Our crowdsourced directory is built by volunteers from across the United States who are sharing their knowledge about smaller or harder-to-find organizations and volunteering resources.
