Volunteer: Stable Help

Do you have a special place in your heart for horses, ponies, donkeys, or mules? Were you the kid who always wanted a horse growing up, but didn’t live on a farm? Now you can experience that magic and joy!

Stable help is needed to care for the dozens of horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules rescued and currently being cared for while they wait for adoption. Opportunities include assisting with feeding, watering, cleaning stalls, grooming, and walking the animals. The position is flexible for physical limitations, and you can help with the parts of care that you are most comfortable with. 

Shifts are on weekends at 9 am and 4 pm, and on weeknights at 4:15 pm. You can stay as long as you’re able or until the work is finished, usually around 6 pm. Training is provided.  And they will even introduce you to the animals and share their stories.
